    Remote Sound Tuning in Automobiles

Continuing to explore automotive audio design and applications, the Audio Product Education Institute (APEI) is proud to present a new webinar addressing remote sound tuning of the in-vehicle acoustics and sound systems. Among other methods, this approach combines computer modeling, measurement and tuning parameters to compute a simulation of impulse responses, frequency responses and acoustic combinations, with possible virtualization. In this session, Roger Shively ((JJR Acoustics, LLC) APEI’s Automotive Pillar Chair will welcome presentations and a panel discussion with four automotive industry experts, discussing their experiences with demonstrations of the methods used.

Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Voice Interfaces on the Edge

Expanding on its mission to improve the knowledge and skills of professionals involved in the development of audio products, from concept to delivery, APEI is proud to present a new series of webinars focusing on the technologies enabling smart audio products, intended to support this extremely fast growing area, were development teams are in great demand. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) education pillar will explore and explain the practical approach and development of all the products that are conceived, planned, designed and implemented in various smart audio market segments.

Acoustic Vehicle Alert Systems (AVAS) and Automotive Sound Design

The Audio Product Education Institute (APEI), an initiative of the Audio Engineering Society, will host a new webinar on Automotive Audio on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at 8:00 AM Pacific (11:00 AM EDT). This will be the first open discussion in the audio community focusing on Acoustic Vehicle Alert Systems (AVAS) and Automotive Sound Design – a new and immediate need for automotive audio engineers and carmakers alike.

Working With Product Development Houses to Bring Audio Products to Market

The AES Audio Product Education Institute (APEI) will host the webinar “Working with Product Development and Design Houses to Bring Audio Products to Market,” APEI’s seventh online event addressing Supply Chain & Sourcing, on Wednesday, April 21 (12:00pm EDT). In this new webinar, moderated by supply chain and sourcing experts David Lindberg (DB Enterprises) and Mike Klasco (Menlo Scientific), the focus will be on the decision to hire an experienced product development and design team to ensure that a concept turns into a robust, market-ready project.

Multiphysics Simulation in Audio Product Design

The AES Audio Product Education Institute (APEI) to promote methodologies, practices and technologies involved in developing and bringing audio products to market, will launch its Modeling and Measurement series of events with the webinar Multiphysics Simulation in Audio Product Design on Wednesday, April 14 (12:00pm EDT).

Acoustic Vehicle Alert Systems (AVAS) and Automotive Sound Design

This new APEI Automotive Audio webinar will offer the first open discussion in the audio community of Acoustic Vehicle Alert Systems (AVAS) and external Sound Design of automobiles. This session will cover the legislation around silent vehicles, the regulations created both in Europe and the U.S. how they differ and how they could conflict with existing vehicle noise regulations. The creative tools for design and main features to consider in audio processing in automotive audio applications, the exterior sound design of vehicles and AVAS, and by extension interior sound enhancement, will be covered.

Working With Product Development Houses to Bring Audio Products to Market

In another Audio Product Education Institute webinar in the Supply Chain & Sourcing series, our two supply chain and sourcing experts, David Lindberg (DB Enterprises) and Mike Klasco (Menlo Scientific) again invited two established design houses to discuss their role and contributions as a critical option supporting brands to bring new products to market. Hiring an experienced product development and design team can be critical to ensure that a concept turns into a robust project, ready for production. For many companies, working with an experienced company to optimize product design, engineering and manufacturing, managing quality, cost and time-to-market challenges, is an essential component to market success. The design consultants and industry experts in this session will address the specificities of their business, and how to bring products to market in 2021.
