    AES 2022 International Automotive Audio Conference, June 8-10

      The prestigious International Automotive Audio Conference promoted by the Audio Engineering Society returns in full force to Detroit, Michigan, June 8-10, 2022. The AES Audio Product Education Institute is planning a dedicated three-day conference track and special events, reinforcing the general AES conference program. Taking place at the Dearborn Ford Conference and Event Center, this will be a unique opportunity for the automotive product development and engineering community.

        The AES Audio Product Education Institute (APEI) promotes a new Modeling and Measurement webinar exploring the latest updates to the Acoustics Module in COMSOL Multiphysics 6.0 and its possibilities for loudspeaker development. In this session, Mads J. Herring Jensen, Technology Manager, Acoustics, at COMSOL, together with Roger Shively (JJR Acoustics), and Tim Whitwell (Tectonic Audio Labs) will provide an overview and discuss the areas of improvement for speaker design.

        AES Europe Spring 2022, May 7-8

          The AES Europe Spring 2022 (AES’s 152nd Convention) will feature both in-person events (including a focused technical program). Coming up May 7-8, at the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague, Netherlands, and followed by an online technical program May 16-19. The Audio Product Education Institute (APEI) will have representatives attending to promote its activities, dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of professionals involved in the development of audio products, from concept to delivery.

            The Use of Digital Twins
            for Architecting & Designing Audio Devices

              The AES Audio Product Education Institute (APEI) promotes a new webinar series on its Modeling and Measurement education pillar to explore the use of Digital Twins as a new simulation-driven audio architecture design. On the first webinar, Wednesday, September 22 (12:00pm EDT), Ulrik Skov (Facebook Reality Labs), will offer an introduction to the concept of Digital Twins, and will detail his experience in front-loading a new Cross-Functional Acoustic Alignment approach to the product development and design process.                   The AES Audio Product Education Institute (APEI) will promote a webinar on its Modeling and Measurement education pillar, this time addressing “Speakers and Microphones: Simulation and Testing,” on Wednesday, August 11 (12:00pm EDT). The webinar will feature presentations from COMSOL and HEAD acoustics exploring spatial responses of speakers and microphones as well as echo cancellation testing techniques.

                  New AES APEI Webinar to Focus on Audio Product Test and Manufacturing Strategies

                    The Audio Product Education Institute (APEI), an initiative of the Audio Engineering Society (AES), will host the webinar “Production Test and Manufacturing Strategies to Build Better Audio Products” on Wednesday, July 28 (12pm ET). Audio Precision and Instrumental will detail cutting-edge solutions and strategies for detecting and solving problems and inefficiencies in the production line, focusing on audio product examples.
