Computational Platforms for Automotive Audio – Part 2

Following the strong attendance and level of interest around the topic of platforms for automotive audio applications, the Audio Product Education Institute (APEI) will promote a second webinar on this topic. This session will discuss the main features to consider in audio processing in automotive audio applications and also how connectivity and network protocols are being a factor in the choice of platform. The session will also explore further DSP choices and emerging requirements such as for voice interactions, AI/ML, and spatial processing.

2021 AES International Conference on Automotive Audio

Aligned with the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), opened to the public October 2-9, in Detroit, MI, USA, the 2021 AES International Conference on Automotive Audio takes place October 6-8. The AES International Conference on Automotive Audio will address the latest technology trends in Automotive Audio, and will feature a full day program promoted by the Audio Product Education Institute.

Supply Chain and Sourcing Friday 16

              will discuss the
rising cost of goods from China, the tariff wars,
Hong Kong’s struggles, and the dynamics of
the global pandemic that have catalyzed the
emergence of alternative Asian vendors to
              Chinese suppliers. Methods, practices,
economics and politics of the hardware,
software and development services that go into
every audio product produced, will also be
              topics explored.

Interactive Voice and DSP Friday 16

Lately there has been a resurgence of interest in beamformers following the success of the Amazon Echo. This talk presents beamformers in a simple-to-understand and straightforward light.
You’ll understand how the number of
                  microphones and geometry impacts
performance. The importance of microphone matching and SNR, and even how to create steerable arrays. The talk has a minimum of math and an emphasis on practical applications.
Although the focus is on audio, the techniques presented extend to other applications such as RF
